Answer Faithfulness

Answer faithfulness is an evaluation metric that measures whether an AI agent's response is grounded in and consistent with the source context it was given, rather than hallucinated or contradicted by the context.

It is a core metric in RAG-based agent evaluation and is required for compliance use cases where agents must only cite information from approved sources.
